Lakshmi’s Calling You
| Ciao and Sacred Sunday to you: How was your week? Can you believe it’s August 1 today! Wow, right. Summertime brings to my mind the glorious Goddess Lakshmi, who personifies the qualities of fruitfulness and lushness. Walking through the farmer’s markets inhaling the fragrance of fresh cut flowers, ripe tomatoes off-the-vine and bursting with juiciness, warm fuzzy peaches is truly time spent in the grace of Lakshmi’s goodness. And yet, Lakshmi is often thought of as the Goddess of financial wealth and prosperity. While she is that, she also exemplifies wealth and prosperity on a deeper level. A level of richness that is exquisitely inherent and available, no matter what the external circumstances might look like in this moment. Lakshmi calls for us to live with radiance and vitality, from childhood to elderhood. She is a Goddess for all seasons and passages of your life. And however, you identify. She beckons you and me to appreciate the fullness of Life itself and our place in it. So, on this sultry Sunday morning, I’m attaching a link to the third and final article I wrote for the GloForward community.
