Ciao Amica Mia,
This was another historic week in the States!
Joe Biden chose Senator Kamala Harris for his Vice-Presidential running mate.
I’m allowing myself to be happy. And, dare I say, even a little hopeful.
And you know what else, I don’t care one hoot if Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris because it was the most expedient thing to do.
From my perspective Joe made a wise, and yes, strategic decision.
Lord knows we need a little more wisdom, skillful strategy, and a competent female leader with guts and grit to help guide us out of this frickin’ mess we’re living in.
Whether you agree with me or not, whether you vote as a Republican, Democrat or Independent, I hope you can at least agree that choosing a confident Black, South-Asian woman, sends a strong message to the American people. And the world.
It’s time for equality, unity and let me lay my bleeding Hanuman heart before you.

And while you may be totally opposed to my political beliefs, I’m OK with that.
The fact remains that the world needs more intelligent, tenacious and courageous female leaders.
This is a time for more authentic connection, brave conversation and congruency of character.
As I said last week, it’s time to do “the next right thing”. I believe Joe Biden did just that.
What I hope for you this Sacred Sunday is that you find something you’re excited about and do a little happy dance.
I wish for you a fresh new something to celebrate, feel inspired by and be hopeful for.
If it’s not the newly announced VP running mate, well how about the ordinary, yet glorious gift of another sunrise.
