What The…!

Ciao Amica Mia,

I hope this Sacred Sunday finds you well, especially after another hellava week!

What we witnessed happening at the Capitol broke my heart.

I often wonder how many times one’s heart can be shattered, then put back together, only to fracture again.

Do you ever feel that way?

Yet, in spite of the mob mentality and the hate that we witnessed, my hope is rekindled.

You might be thinking, “oh there she goes again with her woo-woo stuff.”

But it’s not woo-woo. And here’s why.

I believe that each of us is here to be the best version of themselves.

Even those who behave with violence.

Now I admit, while it’s hard to remember this truth when you witness such a demonstration of hatred and rage, the reality is their hearts are hurting too.

The problem is, these folks have lost their way.

They’ve forgotten, or have never known, that underneath the skin, at our essence, we are all connected.

As a result, mis-guided attempts to feel a sense of worthiness, importance and meaning, have led them to join forces with the demon. The demon that resides within.

In the yoga scripture, The Bhagavad Gita, Krishna advises the bereft warrior Arjuna, that evil is a turning away from the Light, whether conscious or not.

As an integrative empowerment coach, I want to remind you that your personal purpose is to be the most brilliant version of YOU!

No matter what is happening “out there.”

When it feels heavy, intense and a little mad, it’s even more important that you, dear heart, stay focused on your path and the vision you have for your life.

It’s easy to be led down the rabbit hole of despair and meet anger with anger. But that’s not what’s needed.

What’s needed is to stay steady, to practice being your highest and best self; your future self.

The self you so desire to be.

And, to not let outside influences defeat you so that you walk away from your heart’s desires.

I want you to imagine what the world would like if we all threw our hands up and collapsed in a heap of anguish.

Instead, I urge you to imagine what the world could look like if we collectively worked through our own demons and harnessed our divine power.

We as a nation, and a global community, have a lot of work ahead of us.

The yoga activist, Sean Corn, suggests each of us “look inward and transform yourself.”

My friend, I believe that whether you ever practice yoga asana or not it’s all of our responsibility to own our shadows and alchemize them.

🔥 It’s our responsibility to use our creative power to help create change.

️ It’s our responsibility to be beacons of light when everything around us feels heavy and dark.

💥 This is a very pivotal time, and while it may seem daunting, I believe it is a time of waking consciousness.

️ It’s time for an inner revolution.

⭐️ It’s your responsibility to bring the Brilliance of who you are into the world.

❣️ I urge you to not give up on what you love.

With so much love and appreciation, xoxo Paulette
